This anchor of 268cm. on 257 was found by fishermen, in the wide of Kusadasi, by  80 meters deep. The experts of the museum of the archaeology under water of Bodrum dated it  to the 18th century. One of the claws of the anchor had sunk into the mud of the maritime bottom. The other which was not, had covered itself, in time , with a thick layer of coral.
Exposed on a forged iron pedestal, in front of the Pgeons Island, the anre of aegaen pirates constitutes a beautiful decoration for a last photo-souvenir  before leaving Kusadasi's port.


AMPHORAS: Two byzantian amphoras found in Kusadasi bay are exhibited in the Virtual Museum since march 30th 2002.
